What is a CAB Address?

CAB address is the unique number assigned to a NCE cab/throttle. This is independent of engine addresses and radio cab address. When a cab address is changed it affects both radio and non radio operation of the NCE throttle/cab. The cab address can be reset on any NCE DCC twin by holding down the select loco button while plugging in. Valid CAB 주소s for NCE throttles are 2-7 (non radio) or 3-4 for Radio ProCabs.

In New York City, yellow taxis are called "cabs". To flag one down, simply wave at it with your hand, the same way you would flag a bus. This is called "hailing". It can be challenging during peak times, such as rush hour, or when it's raining.

To ensure a taxi is available to pick you up, look at the medallion number on top of the roof and see if it's illuminated. If it's not, the cab is off-duty and cannot take you. The side lamps will also say OFF DUTY. Sometimes an off-duty cab will pull over and ask you where you're going; if it is along their route home, they may take you. This is not against the law, however. The driver must use their meter anyway.
